ITU Merit & Aggregate Calculator 2026
Information Technology University, Lahore uses a different Academic Record vs. Admission Test split for each BS program group. Select your program below to use the exact official weightage.
Matric 15% + Intermediate 35% + Admission Test 50%
Matric / O-Level Marks
Intermediate Part-1 / HSSC / A-Level Marks
For this program group, ITU publishes only a combined "Academic Record" weightage without a stated Matric/Intermediate sub-split. This calculator uses the average of your Matric % and Intermediate % to represent your Academic Record.
Weightage: 50% · Minimum eligibility: 50% in the ITU Admission Test. If exempted via SAT-I/USAT/ECAT/NTS, enter that score converted to a percentage.

How ITU Calculates Merit Aggregate
Unlike universities that apply a single fixed formula across every program, the Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore publishes a distinct Academic Record versus Admission Test split for each of its BS program groups. BS Computer Science and BS Artificial Intelligence applicants with HSSC Part-1 or complete HSSC results are evaluated on Matric/O-Level 15% plus Intermediate Part-1/Inter/A-Level 35% plus Admission Test, SAT-I, or USAT 50%. Applicants holding O-Level results only, or whose A-Level results are still awaited, are instead evaluated on a 35% Academic Record plus 65% Admission Test split, shifting more weight onto test performance to compensate for the incomplete academic record.
BS Electrical Engineering, BS Software Engineering, and BS Computer Engineering applicants are evaluated on a combined Academic Record 50% plus Admission Test, ECAT, USAT, or NTS 50% split. BS Management & Technology and BS Financial Technology applicants use Academic Record 40% plus Admission Test, SAT-I, or NTS 60%, placing the heaviest weight on test performance of any ITU program group. BS Economics with Data Science applicants use Academic Record 50% plus Admission Test, SAT-I, NTS, or USAT 50%, with the lowest minimum test qualifying score of the BS programs at 40%.
Across most programs, ITU allows candidates to skip its own Admission Test entirely by submitting a qualifying score from an accepted alternate test — SAT-I, USAT, ECAT, or NTS depending on the program — which is then used in place of the ITU Admission Test score in the aggregate formula. There is no negative marking on the ITU Admission Test itself, and O/A-Level applicants must submit an IBCC equivalence certificate as part of their academic record.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does the aggregate formula differ by program at ITU?
Yes. ITU publishes a different Academic Record versus Admission Test weightage for each program group. BS Computer Science and BS Artificial Intelligence use Matric 15% plus Intermediate 35% plus Admission Test 50%. BS Electrical, Software, and Computer Engineering use a combined Academic Record 50% plus Admission Test 50%. BS Management and Technology and BS Financial Technology use Academic Record 40% plus Admission Test 60%. BS Economics with Data Science uses Academic Record 50% plus Admission Test 50%.
Can I skip the ITU Admission Test?
Depending on the program, ITU allows exemption from its own Admission Test if a candidate submits a qualifying score on an accepted alternate test instead. For BS Computer Science and BS Artificial Intelligence, a qualifying SAT-I or USAT score can be used. For BS Electrical, Software, and Computer Engineering, ECAT, NTS-NAT, or USAT scores are accepted. For BS Management and Technology and BS Financial Technology, SAT-I or NTS scores are accepted. For BS Economics with Data Science, SAT-I, USAT, or NTS scores are accepted. In each case, the exempting test score is used in place of the ITU Admission Test score in the aggregate formula.
What if I am an O-Level only or A-Level result awaiting applicant?
For BS Computer Science and BS Artificial Intelligence specifically, ITU publishes an alternate formula for applicants who hold O-Level results only or whose A-Level results are still awaited: Academic Record 35% plus Admission Test 65%, placing a heavier weight on the Admission Test to compensate for the incomplete academic record at the time of application.
